Treatment

Remedial Massage

Targeted soft-tissue work for pain, injury or stress.

Book This Treatment

What it does

Tailored to your needs, remedial massage is very effective in providing relief from muscular tension, migraines and headaches, RSI, and sciatic pain. The therapist will assess your soft tissue condition, and then treat the dysfunction that is the cause of pain, injury or stress.

  • Provides relief of muscular tension
  • Facilitates relaxation and decreases stress
  • Helps with recovery from muscular injuries
  • Enhances joint mobility
  • Assists in improving local blood supply and circulation
  • Reduces soft tissue adhesions

Remedial massage is appropriate for a wide range of conditions — chronic tension from desk work, recurring headaches, recovery from sports strain, and more. We are open to all members of the public and treat a range of different issues.

For maximum benefit we recommend a 60-minute session for all new clients.
Treatment

Deep Tissue Massage

Firm, sustained pressure for the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue.

Book This Treatment

What it does

More of a terminology used by people who want deeper pressure used in a Remedial Massage treatment, to target the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. Deep tissue massage uses deep, firm, sustained pressure to reshape and realign muscles, tendons, and ligaments.

Deep tissue massage is used for:

  • Chronically tight or painful muscles
  • Repetitive strain
  • Postural problems
  • Recovery from injury

The therapist uses intense friction techniques alongside sustained deep pressure to work through the outer layers of muscle and reach the structures beneath. The work is firm but always guided by your feedback and comfort throughout the session.

Treatment

Sports Massage

Designed for people involved in physical activity — pre and post event.

Book This Treatment

What it does

Specifically designed for people who are involved in physical activity. Whether you are preparing for an event or recovering after one, sports massage is tailored to where you are in your training cycle.

Pre-Event Sports Massage: The therapist will use faster techniques to warm up the muscles, preparing them for the effort ahead and reducing the risk of injury during activity.

Post-Event Sports Massage: After training or competition, the focus shifts to helping aid the removal of lactic acid from the body, meaning you can recover faster and return to training sooner.

Sports massage is suitable for recreational exercisers and competitive athletes alike — anyone who pushes their body and wants to look after it properly.

Treatment

Relaxation Massage

Swedish technique — light pressure, long flowing strokes.

Book This Treatment

What it does

Based on a well-known Swedish technique, this gentle and soothing treatment will help you relax and unwind. Using light pressure with long, flowing strokes, relaxation massage works with your body's natural rhythms rather than against them.

Relaxation massage is effective for:

  • Improving local blood supply
  • Promoting and assisting rest and sleep
  • Reducing anxiety
  • Assisting the lymphatic system

This is the right treatment when what you need most is calm. It is not as targeted as remedial work — but for stress, tension carried in the whole body, and the need for genuine rest, it is often exactly what is called for.

Treatment

Cupping Therapy

Vacuum cups for myofascial release and circulation.

Book This Treatment

What it does

Cupping is used to help with myofascial release, and promotes the circulation of energy and blood flow. Using vacuum cups, this is an excellent method to help the body detox by drawing toxins and old blood to the surface.

Cupping therapy is beneficial for:

  • Improving circulation
  • Myofascial release
  • Managing pain and old soft-tissue injuries
  • Improving the common cold and respiratory complaints

The cups create a gentle suction against the skin, drawing the tissue upward. The sensation is one of deep pulling — most people find it relaxing once the initial sensation settles. Cupping can leave temporary marks on the skin, which is normal and fades over a few days.

Treatment

Pregnancy Massage

Tailored for pregnant women. Not recommended in the first trimester.

Book This Treatment

What it does

A form of massage tailor-made for pregnant women, using both the massage table and massage chair to access most muscle groups and provide relief where needed. Pregnancy brings particular physical demands — changed posture, pressure on the lower back and hips, and the general weight of carrying — and this treatment addresses each of those systematically.

The session is adapted throughout to accommodate the needs of the pregnant body, working with the table and chair to ensure both comfort and effective treatment across all accessible muscle groups.

Please note: Pregnancy massage is not recommended in the first trimester. Please discuss your stage of pregnancy and any concerns when booking.
